His English is excellent, he’s honest, easy to work with, pricing felt fair, and while he can be a little hard to reach sometimes, when it counts he’s there.

I’ve worked with Hugo for about 19 years on lots of things - he was my lawyer when I bought a new-build house, handled residency applications, translations for my partner, importing a car, driving licenses, and updating our wills. His English is everyday and easy, he never changed the price, very fair, practical and calm, and when the house wasn’t finished on time he mediated with the builder and found good compromises. I trust him because he always checked I was happy at the end and once even said he’d been a bit slow and reduced his fee. The only thing is scheduling can feel a bit laissez-faire and I sometimes had to chase or he was 5-15 minutes late, but overall he’s reliable, warm, and puts you at ease.

I moved to Spain with my wife and we brought Hugo on when we hit problems buying a house; he spotted issues with the first place and later helped us through the one we did buy. We kept working with him to get my wife’s TIE number, which came through quicker than we expected, and he alerted us to a new law for our rental so he came with me to the registration place and we got it done in time. He traveled down to Tarragona three or four times, came with me to every meeting with the authorities, and he’s a great communicator on WhatsApp and always on the other end of the line, his English is great. Price was reasonable and we’re very grateful because he really went above and beyond.
